Usage levels LV0–5
The level is independent of the type and ignores usage volume and models; without evidence it stays unknown rather than becoming LV0.
Find your agent's typeLV 0 · Direct adoption
A result that needed checking was used as is.
Next step:When a result looks wrong, point out what is off and try again another way.
LV 1 · Trial and repair
After spotting an error, you tried again another way.
Next step:In two separate tasks, confirm the result really works, for example by running the tests or using it once.
LV 2 · Useful delivery
Results from at least two separate tasks were confirmed usable.
Next step:In one task, state the scope and what done means up front, then verify one specific fix.
LV 3 · Scoped collaboration
One task set its scope and finish line first, then verified a specific fix.
Next step:Turn what you do often into a skill, rule, or script that other sessions can reuse.
LV 4 · Asset reuse
Skills, rules, or scripts you wrote were picked up again by other sessions.
Next step:Let automation run on a schedule, CI, or a hook for two weeks, and keep maintaining those assets meanwhile.
LV 5 · Running automation
Automation ran unattended for two weeks or more while its assets kept being maintained.
Next step:You are at the top level. Review what the automation produces now and then so it does not drift unnoticed.
